Mikaela is an Estonian-American artist and writer. Originally from New Jersey, she is currently attending university in Edinburgh, where she can usually be found mainlining coffee and/or tea while sheltering from the ever-changing weather in one of the city’s many excellent cafes.

In addition to a profound weakness for freshly-baked bread, Mikaela particularly enjoys talking to and learning from anyone with a genuine passion for anything at all (seriously: rocks, space, the significance of primes to modern cryptography, the social implications of art forgery, why the Luggage would—or would not—beat a Ravenous Bugblatter Beast in a straight fight…).

She does not like moths.

(Answers to pressing existential questions are particularly appreciated, but in their absence, a good book recommendation will do.)
